The Earth Builder (original drawing)

See the turtle of enormous girth... Patterns, patterns, patterns. Sea turtles are just about the coolest animals around. One of the best animals to illustrate patterns of life. I once read of an ancient myth that the earth was formed on the back of a turtle traveling through the cosmos. This myth gave me the idea for for this piece. I combined African and Australian tribal patterns for the background to help accentuate the origin mythology.

My originals are hand drawn graphite on smooth Bristol paper and come framed in a frame that I buy from Michael’s with a 40% off coupon.
